Celebrating a decade of avant-garde design, JENN LEE returned to London Fashion Week for the fifth consecutive year with a landmark anniversary show. Staged at Village Underground—a venue synonymous with London’s underground culture—the presentation revisited and reimagined some of the designer’s most iconic creations from the past ten years.

Over the last decade, JENN LEE has become a highlight of London Fashion Week, known for pushing boundaries with gothic tailoring, Eastern-inspired craftsmanship and avant-garde performance. This milestone show not only celebrated ten years of design innovation but also cemented the brand’s status as one of the most exciting voices in contemporary fashion.

A Tribute to Heritage and Storytelling

For JENN LEE, fashion is never just about clothing—it’s about storytelling, transformation and emotion. Each collection has woven together threads of heritage, rebellion and sensuality, and this anniversary show distilled a decade of fearless creativity into one unforgettable moment on the London Fashion Week stage.

Known for fusing deconstruction with philosophical aesthetics, this season’s inspiration was drawn from the 18th-century Eastern literary classic Dream of the Red Chamber. The collection reflected East Asian sartorial sensuality, expressed through refined tailoring and craftsmanship.

Two standout pieces were handcrafted by a traditional qipao artisan, showcasing starch-setting, hand-tied knot buttons, delicate piping and hand-finished seams. These creations embodied a harmonious balance of heritage and contemporary sophistication.

Gothic Sophistication Meets Eastern Craft

The collection marked a shift from raw-edged deconstruction to exaggerated tailoring and gothic sensuality. A highlight was the Fan Dress, inspired by the folds of paper fans and Eastern screens. Structured tailoring was elevated with hand-crafted dragon and phoenix frog buttons—symbols of power reimagined as bold, tattoo-like motifs that blurred the lines between tradition and rebellion.

Another statement look was a reconstructed 1970s vintage leather jacket, with strong square shoulders, handmade leather knots, and a vampiric edge that exuded dark elegance.

Performance, Fashion and Acupuncture Fusion

Opening the show, contemporary dancer Liu I-Ling brought vulnerability and intensity to the runway. Continuing the brand’s provocative narrative, acupuncture needles—applied by SALIENT CLASS—appeared as fashion statements, reinforcing JENN LEE’s synergy with London’s punk-influenced subcultures.

The immersive atmosphere was heightened through collaboration with UPKO, who provided BDSM-inspired accessories crafted from Italian leather and fine hardware. Transformed into luxury fashion elements, these pieces created a provocative balance between eroticism and couture.

A Soundscape of Cultures and Eras

Music director Cloudy Ku curated a rich, cross-cultural soundtrack blending opera, Mexican folk, Eastern classical instruments, and post-punk moods. The result was a multisensory experience that underscored JENN LEE’s vision of fashion as art, narrative and cultural vocabulary.

Hair and Makeup: Vampiric Elegance

Hair by DENNIS FEI channelled the duality of vampires—balancing lineage elegance with rebellious grit. Meanwhile, Kite Chuang’s makeup artistry extended the narrative: cracked red-and-black lips mirrored garment details, while acupuncture needles became avant-garde accessories. The skin was kept sheer and translucent with SUQQU’s Radiant Cream Foundation, layered with deep, smouldering eyes created using SUQQU’s Gel Eyeliner Pencil and 3D Waterproof Mascara.

Ushering in a New Era

Blending nostalgia, fragility and gothic sensuality, the Spring/Summer 2026 collection marked a new chapter for JENN LEE. This decade-defining show was both a reflection on ten years of artistic evolution and a bold stride into the future—where elegance, rebellion, and vampiric beauty converge.

Portal:M Debuts the First Phygital Fashion Showroom at LFW

In parallel with the anniversary show, JENN LEE partnered with Taiwanese tech platform Portal:M to launch the first 3D phygital showroom at London Fashion Week.

Centred around the brand’s signature zipper motif—symbolising boundaries, protection, and tension—the exhibition allowed guests to immerse themselves in the JENN LEE brand universe. A VR experience invited visitors into a gothic-inspired temple where Eastern heritage and digital innovation intertwined.
